5月13日下午，新华小记者来到了位于浦东的“极地研究中心”进行学习和采访。
新华小记者来到“极地研究中心”，一个个都变成了好奇心宝宝，只要看到新奇的东西，就问问这，问问那。
“极地研究中心”里隐藏着许许多多的知识等着我们小记者去探索。虽然我和大家一样，刚进馆，什么也不知道，但通过馆里提供的文字和图片资料。初步了解了南极和北极的区别。并且我们还看到了憨厚可爱的企鹅标本，我们也知道了最大的企鹅——帝企鹅。
接下来，我们小记者们席地而坐，津津有味地听着讲解员为我们讲解了南北极的故事，我们每个人认真地做着记录。其间，也有些小记者提出各种各样的有趣的问题。通过讲解员的讲解和小记者的采访，我们又知道了很多新的知识。比如，南北极因为非常冷并且气候干燥，所以被称为“白色沙漠”。并且企鹅的天敌是贼欧和海豹。可恶的贼欧还专门吃企鹅蛋和刚出生的小企鹅！
